FAQ

Commonly asked questions

1. Can we leave our clothing or other items in drawers?

Please remove clothes & assorted items from dressers, chests of drawers, armoires, cabinets, end tables, night stands, etc… This allows us to safely move these pieces. Doubled up large plastic bags work well for clothes, linens, pillows, blankets…

2. Can you help us move our hanging clothes?

We can provide wardrobe boxes available for purchase. Let us know how many feet of hanging clothes are in your closets so we can determine how many you need.

3. How are my beds going to be protected from getting dirty?

We recommend our heavy-duty plastic bed bags for your mattresses & box springs. What size beds do you have: King, Queen, Full or Single?  We will disassemble and reassemble your beds for you! Although, cribs need to be disassembled by you for liability reasons.

4. How is my furniture protected & taken care of during the move?

All wooden furniture is protected with quilted moving blankets. Upholstered and leather furniture is wrapped in shrink wrap. All your household items are professionally loaded, delivered & handled with care.

5. Can you move TV’s, large pictures or lamps?

Yes, we can move your TV’s and pictures in our Quick-Crates. What sizes are they? We recommend moving table lamps in your vehicle to save money on time and materials.

6. Are there items the movers cannot ship in the moving truck?

Yes. We cannot move the CPUs and Computers. Please refer to the list of other items on our website: “Items Not to Pack or Move” We are mostly concerned with paint, gas cans, kerosene, propane tanks, combustibles & flammables. We have a flatbed trailer for riding mowers, push mowers, snow throwers, etc. Sometimes we make an exception for plants. Please don’t water them a week prior to the move.

7. Do I need to disconnect all appliances?

Please turn off water valves for Washing Machines & Refrigerators. Please disconnect hoses & icemaker water lines prior to move. This should be done by a plumber or the homeowner. It is also important to have gas dryers disconnected & capped by a plumber or your gas/propane company.

8. How do we pay for the job?

Sometimes we ask for a deposit check to book your move & reserve your date(s). We accept final payment in cash, venmo or check for local moves within Pennsylvania. For moves outside of the area, payment is required by cash, certified check, or money order.
